Robert E. McGuire

    NOTUS - Services for Robert E. "Emmett" McGuire, 75, of Box 502 Notus, who died Monday in a Boise hospital, will be conducted at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, at 2 p.m. Thursday by the rev. Robert Obenchain of the Notus Baptist Church.  Interment will be at Canyon Hill Cemetery.
    Mr. McGuire was born Feb. 1, 1898 in Boise and attended schools in Caldwell.  He graduated from Link's Business College in Boise and was a veteran of World War I.  He married Lucille Justus in 1930 and the couple lived in the Dixie area until retiring and moving in to Notus in 1971.
    He served on the Notus School District board of trustees and had been clerk of the district 33 years.  He was a deacon of the Notus Baptist Church and a member of the Enrose Farm Bureau.
    Surviving in addition to his wife are two daughters, Betty Jo Toccoli of Englewood, N.J., and Mrs. Charles Campbell of McAlester, Okila.; a son, Robert Keith McGuire of Frankfurt, Germenay; four sisters, Winifred Maxey, Alta Dowend, Mabel Beveridge and Willa McGuire, all of Boise; and four grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
    Memorials may be given to the Notus Baptist Church parsonage building fund, or to Mountain States Tumor Institute, Boise.
