Edward Budell

     M. Edward Budell, 87, of Nampa, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 1991, at his home.  Vigil Service will be celebrated at 7 :30 p.m. Friday, March 1, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, with the Rev. Father James L. Pratt, S.M., as celebrant.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
     Edward was born Feb. 22, 1904, at Butte, Mont., a son of Charles F. and Amelia Sutter Budell.  He moved with his family to Hamilton, Mont., and later to Nampa in 1909 and was reared and attended schools here.  He worked for various ranchers in the area for several years and later became an employee of the Forest Service during the summers and did ranch work in the winters from 1924 until retiring in 1964.  During his tenure with the Forest Service, he worked on the old Idaho Forest, the old Payette Forest and the new Boise and Challis Forests.
     He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church; the Knights of Columbus, Nampa Council No. 2014; the National Association of Retired Federal Employees and the American Association of Retired Persons.
     Survivors include a sister-in-law, Clarisse Budell of Nampa; five nieces ; and two nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
     Friends may call until 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday and until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
