Kathryne Besecker

    Graveside services for Kathryne Fern Besecker, 75, of Eureka, Calif., and formerly of the Caldwell area, who died Monday, Sept. 22, in an Eureka hospital of natural causes, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, at the Roswell Cemetery.  Pastor Virgil Saltz of the Roswell Baptist Church will officiate, under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Besecker was born June 21, 1911, at Medaryville, Ind., to Oliver A. and Stella B. Cassidy Faris.
    She married Thomas J. Besecker March 4, 1933, at Vale, Ore.  They lived in Caldwell until 1945 when they moved to California.  They later settled in Arcata, Calif., where she worked as a licensed vocational nurse at Trinity Hospital for 15 years.  Her husband died in December 1962.  She had resided in California until the time of her death.
    She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Carl Moon of Eureka; two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas J. and Helen Besecker of Seattle, Wash., and Charles A. and Carol Besecker of Steilacom, Wash.; two sisters, Maxine Monica VanDyke of San Diego, Calif., and Shirley Blanche Thompson of Sacramento, Calif.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
