CALDWELL -
Requiem mass for Joseph Kanyid Sr., 97, 1123 Chicago St., who
died Friday at a Weiser hospital will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday
at St. Maries Catholic Church, the Rev. Father Edmund
Nowotarski will be the celebrant.
Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. today at the Flahiff
chpel. Interment will be at Canyon Hill.
Mr. Kanyid was born May 21, 1869, in Hungary. He
was married to Lydia Ferpasz in Hungary and they later
homesteaded at Brogan, Ore., where they lived until 1950 when
he retired. Mrs. Kanyid died Feb. 10, 1965.
He had bee a farmer and a construction worker for many
years. He was a member of St. Marie's Catholic Church.
Survivors are four sons, Joe Kanyid, Ellensburg, Wash.;
Paul Kanyid, Caldwell; Dan Kanyid, Huntington, Ore.; Louis
Kanyid, Lime, Ore; seven daughters, Mrs. William (Rose) Filatz,
Caldwell; Mrs. C.W. (Irene) Cunningham, Santa Clara, Calif.;
Mrs. L.D. (Lillian) McMillan, Anaheim, Calif.; Sister Mary
Carmelita, Hanford, Calif.; Mrs. Richard (Ethel) Nelson,
Seattle, Wash.; Mrs. Walter, (Carol) DeBlieck, Boise; and Mrs.
Arthur (Ann) Belch, Yakama, Wash.; 14 grandchildren and three
great grandchildren. |
