Jess Bermensolo

    Jess S. Bermensolo. 81, of Nampa, died Saturday, Feb. 23, 1991, at the Nampa hospital.  Vigil services will be celebrated at 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Father James L. Pratt, S.M.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Mr. Bermensolo was born Nov. 1, 1909, at Boise, a son of Luis and Venancia Gabica Bermensolo and began his schooling at Boise.  The family returned to Spain in 1920 and he attended schools there.  They moved back to Middleton where he attended school for two years and then to Nampa where he graduated from Nampa High School in 1929.  He worked as manager of the C.C. Anderson Grocery, then for the Waldorf Cigar Store and then for the Ideal Food Store.  He married Marie Isabel Jausoro July 7, 1934, and they made their home here where he has since resided.  He became an employee of the Union Pacific Railroad in 1941 and retired as a switchman in 1973.  The Bermensolos made two trips to Spain, in 1971 and again in 1987.  They were members of the Gem Sprout Chapter of Good Sams and made several trips with that group.
    He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church; of Euzkaldunak of Boise, and of Nampa Lodge No. 13889, B.P.O.E.
    Survivors include his wife, Marie of Nampa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and Michael Crane of Nampa and Joanne and Robert Campbell of Coupeville, Wash.; a brother, Richard Bermensolo of Boise; five grandchildren, Susan M. Hernandez, Patrick M. Crane, Lisa M. Crane, R. Andrew Campbell, and Molly Ann Campbell; a great-grandson, Andre3w P. Crane and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John Francis Bermensolo.
    Memorials may be made to the Intensive Care Unit of Mercy Medical Center, Nampa, or flowers may be sent.
    Friends may call from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
