Jacqueline Haines

    Scriptural vigil services for Jacqueline Cecilia Haines, 72, of Caldwell, who died Wednesday, Sept. 3, at the Nampa hospital, will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  
    Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell, with Father Raul Covarrubias of St. Mary’s Catholic Church celebrating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Mrs. Haines, a homemaker, was born April 26, 1914, at Jordan Valley to Frank and Alice Swisher Maher.  At the age of 7, she was orphaned and was raised by her aunt and uncle, Jack and Carrie Swisher. She was educated in Jordan Valley. She married Clarence "Buck" Haines Oct. 14, 1932, in Caldwell.  They lived in Jordan Valley and the Boise Valley most of their married lives.
    She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Caldwell.
    She is survived by her husband of Caldwell; three sons and daughter-in-laws, Floyd and Carol Haines of Quartz Hill, Calif., Jack and Mary Ann Haines of Caldwell, and Bernard and June Haines of Nampa; a daughter, Beverly Goddard of Seattle, Wash.; a daughter and son-in-law, Jan and Bill Young of Eagle; a sister, Bernice Birmingham of Marsing; her adopted brothers and sisters, George, Pete, Bertie, Dick and Mary, 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by a brother, a sister, and two adopted brothers.
    Memorials may be made to Mountain States Tumor Institute, 151 E. Bannock, Boise 83712.
    Friends may call Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Caldwell Flahiff chapel.
