Florence Batzner

   Graveside services for Florence I. Batzner, 93, of Notus, who died Friday, May 22, 1992, at a Caldwell nursing home will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 1992, at the Lower Boise Cemetery near Parma, Idaho. Reverend David Porterfield, Church of the Nazarene, Notus, will officiate under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Family and fiends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
    Mrs. Batzner was born June 14, 1898, at Topaz, Missouri, a daughter of Maddison and Josephine Woods Beck.  She married William A. Batzner on April 23, 1916 at Topaz. The couple moved to Notus, Idaho in 1918, where she has since made her home. Mr. Batzner died on March 28, 1975. Florence enjoyed embroidery work.  She was an excellent cook and made delicious cinnamon rolls.
    Florence was a member of the Parma Senior Citizens and a former member of the Missionary Baptist Church of Parma.
    Survivors include two sons, Ronald of New Plymouth, Idaho, and Larry of Anchorage, Alaska; five daughters, Lavern Allison of Lowell, Arkansas, Bernice Puch of Idleyid, Oregon, Lois Stoneman of Ukiah, California, Josephine
Bloomfield and Wanda Timmons both of Notus, Idaho; a sister Nola Musgrove of Notus; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, one brother, one sister and two grandchildren.
    The family suggests that memorials be given to the American Cancer Society, 1609 Abbs, Boise, Idaho 83705, or flowers may be sent.
    Friends may call Monday from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
