Floyd Cornwell

     Floyd A. Cornwell, 72, of Parma, died Sturday, July 27, 1996, at home of natural causes.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 31, 1996, at Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church, Roswell, with Rev. Phil Hughes officiating.  Burial will follow at Roswell Cemetery, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     Floyd was born June 22, 1924, at Wilder, Idaho to D.C. and Vesta Riggs Cornwell.  He attended Roswell schools.  He married Maizie McCurry on November 26, 1945, in Fargo, Idaho.  He was superintendent for Riverside Irrigation of 37 years and retired in 1986.  He remained active helping family, friends and neighbors.  He took pride in his garden, home and family.
     Floyd is survived by his wife, Maizie; a son, Virgil Cornwell and wife, jeanine; 2 daughters, Linda Fox Chester and husband, Colin, and June Curtiss and husband, Charlie, all of Parma; 9 grandchildren, Tony Fox of Boise, Chris Fox of Nampa, Kelly Fox of Parma, Nick Cornwell of San Diego, CA., Sarah Cox of Redmond, OR., Brandi Robins, Trevor Curtiss, Ashley Curtiss and Colby Curtiss, all of Parma; 4 stepgrandchildren, Jerilyn Hess of Nampa, Melissa Brown and Josh Obendorf of Winnemucca, Nevada, Michele Obendorf of Parma; 6 great-grandchildren; 10 grothers and sisters, Norman Cornwell and Arlene Abbot of Parma, Ralph Cornwell of Boise, David Cornwell of Caldwell, Merlin Cornwell of Horseshoe Bend, Leonard Cornwell of Donnelly, Charles Cornwell of Pendleton, OR., Doyle Cornwell of Ashland, Ore., Esther Lundblad of Portland, OR., Janet Sartini of Lewiston; and numerous nieces and nephews; 2 uncles; 5 aunts and numerous cousins.
     Floyd was preceded in death by his parents, one sister and one great-granddaughter.
     Friends may call on Tuesday (today) from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Dakan Chapel, Caldwell.
    The family suggests that mem-orials be made to Columbia West Valley Medical Center's Hospice Program, 1717 Arlington, Caldwell, Idaho 83605, or flowers may be sent.
     He will be missed.
