Ygnacio Beitia

    Rosary for Ygnacio "Slim" Beitia, 87, of Nampa, who died Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the Nampa hospital, will be recited at 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
    Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by Father George Fahey, S.M.  Burial will follow at the Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
     Mr. Beitia was born July 31, 1899, at Busturia, Viscaya, Spain, where he was reared and educated.
    He came to the United States in 1924 and settled in Idaho.  He worked as a herdman with his companion, Tony Laucirica, for various sheep companies in the Treasure Valley, Silver City, Twin Falls, Rupert, and Wells, Nev., areas.
    He never married.
    He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.
    He is survived by several nieces and nephews in Spain.
    He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters in Spain.
    Friends may call at the Nampa Flahiff chapel today until 9 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Friday until 12:30 p.m.
    Memorials may be made to the Mercy Medical Center intensive care unit, Nampa; or flowers may be sent.
