Services for William W. "Bill" Cereda, 79, Melba, who died
Friday, Nov. 9, in a Nampa hospital will be held 2 p.m. Monday
at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. The Rev. Jerome J.
Murray, S.J., chaplain of Mercy Medical Center, Nampa, will
officiate. Burial will be in the Melba Cemetery with
lodge rites by Melba Lodge 150, IOOF.
Cereda, a retired cattle rancher, was born April 16,
1905, at Benicia, Calif., a son of Dominic and Orsola Dedini
Cereda. He was reared and educated at Cordelia, Calif.
He married Albena Stornetta March 25, 1931, at Oakland, Calif.
They ranched in the Cordelia area until moving to Idaho in
1969 and continued ranching in the Wilson area. He
retired in 1977.
He was a member and past noble grand of Melba Lodge
150, IOOF.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Pat Earll of
the Wilson area; two sisters, Mary Vogel of St. Helena,
Calif., and Emma Ball of Cordelia; a granddaughter, Tami
Daniel, a grandson, Bill Earll and a great-grandson, Travis
Earll, all of the Wilson area; and two nieces. His
parents, a brother and a sister died earlier.
Memorials may be made to the Melba Odd Fellows Lodge,
c/o Ray Doser, Box 146, Melba 83641, or flowers may be sent.
Friends may call today until 9 p.m. and Monday until
time of services at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. |
