Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday,
April 17, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale, Idaho.
Associate Pastor Robert Cooke of Centennial Baptist Church
will officiate. Lodge Rites will be by Silver City Masonic
Lodge #13 AF & AM, Homedale, Idaho. Burial will follow at the
Wilder Cemetery, Wilder, Idaho.
Mr. Danforth was born April 3, 1918, in Montana, a son
of Ray and Mary Danforth. He moved to Oregon with his family
and later to Wilder. He joined the Navy during WWII. When he
returned to Wilder he drove truck for Robison Fruit Ranch,
then worked for Homedale Auto Parts for several years. Bill
worked for Tom Morris Equipment as parts manager until his
retirement in 1983. Bill married Lucile Nash on June 8, 1954,
at Winnemucca, Nevada. In 1976, they moved to their new home
on the Danforth Homestead across the river from Homedale.
Bill enjoyed going to ball games, attending Lodge and
participating in his grandchildren's lives.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Homedale.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Leonna
“Lee” and Larry Lannigan of Caldwell and Linda and Wallace
Ekren of Caroltown, Iowa; two grandsons, Brad and Daren
Lannigan; two granddaughters, Lori Smith and Tevian Ekren;
five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille, and his
parents.
The family suggests that memorials be given to a
favorite charity.
Friends may call today from 4 until 8 p.m. And Wednesday
from 9 a.m. Until noon at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Homedale. |
