Warren Lee Choat, 74,
of Boise, died Monday, March 30, 1992, in a Boise hospital
after an extended illness.
The family will hold a wake in celebration of Warren's
life at the family residence at 3670 Barberry Dr., Boise, ID,
on Saturday, April 4, between the hours of 1 p.m. and 7 p.m.
for all friends and family to attend. Private family
graveside funeral was in Middleton Cemetery under the
direction of Gibson Funeral Home, Boise.
Warren was born Aug. 14, 1917, in Laurel, MT, the son
of Orrin and Laura Newton Choate. He grew up in Missouri
and Idaho. Warren married Margaret Corak on June 15,
1941, in Bremerton, and resided there until 1953 when the
family moved to Fairbanks, Alaska. Warren was a partner
in Western Mechanical in Fairbanks until 1969 when he retired
and the family moved to Caldwell, ID. In 1986 Warren and
Margaret moved to Boise.
Survivors included his wife of 50 years, Margaret; a
son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Karen Choat of Boise; two
daughters, Carol Choat of Boise and Debbie Choat of Atlanta,
GA; two brothers and two sisters-in-law, Howard and Gladys
Choat of Caldwell, Harry Choat of Vancouver, WA, and Blanche
Choat of Sparks, NV; one grandson, Derek Choat of Boise; and
numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister,
Edith Choat; and two brothers, Carl Choat and Harold Choat.
The family asks that memorials be made to the American
Parkinson's Disease Association, c/o Senior Services, 1055 N.
