Viola Bennett

    Graveside services for Viola L. Bennett, 73, Parma, who died Friday, July 19, at a Nyssa, Ore., nursing home of natural causes, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Parma Cemetery.  The Rev. Dean Lantz of the Sterry Memorial Presbyterian Church, Roswell, will officiate under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel of Caldwell.
    She was born Feb. 6, 1912, at Louisville, Ky., a daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Bertholf.  She was reared and educated in Louisville and married Fred Murphy in 1937 at Mr. Sterling, Ky.  He died that same year.  She moved to Dayton, Ohio, where she married Edmund J. Bennett in 1940.  He died in 1956.  She came to Boise in 1978 and moved to Parma in 1980.  She had worked for the International Envelope Co. in Dayton for 25 years as an inspector.  She was a member and deacon of the Kirkpatrick Community Presbyterian Church in Parma and was an active member of the Parma Senior Citizens.
    She is survived by a daughter, Janet Marshall of Payette; two sisters, Alma Koehler of Dayton, and Alvina Rankin of Castroville, Calif.  She was preceded in death by two brothers,.  Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel in Parma Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Memorials may be made to the Parma Senior Citizens in care of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386, Caldwell, 83606.
