Graveside services for Tamara Ann “Tami” Daniel, 26, of
Melba, who died Sunday, Nov. 15, at Denver from injuries
sustained in an airplane crash, will be held at 2:30 p.m.
Saturday at the Melba Cemetery.
The Rev. Andrew Schumacher, pastor of the St. James
Catholic Church in Lewiston, will officiate. Services are
under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Mrs. Daniel was born Sept. 6, 1961, at Fairfield,
Calif., to George and Pat Earll. In 1969 she came to Melba
with her parents, where she was reared and educated,
graduating from Melba High School in 1979. She then attended
Boise State University.
She married David A. Daniel June 25, 1982, at St. Paul's
Catholic Church, Nampa, and they made their home at Melba.
She later began working for the Owyhee County Assessor’s
office at Murphy, where she was employed at the time of her
death.
She was a member of the Catholic Church.
She excelled in the 4-H and Future Farmers of America
programs, winning numerous awards for her skills with
livestock. She devoted time to the organizations as an adult,
working with young members. She supported the 4-H program as
an adult by giving 4-H workshops in Canyon and Owyhee Counties
on fitting and showing sheep. She also judged fitting and
showing for local fairs.
She and her husband were actively involved in the Melba
FFA, where he is the agriculture teacher. They also raised
and showed Suffolk sheep and yellow Labs, and enjoyed snow
skiing.
She is survived by her husband of Melba; her parents,
George and Pat Earll of Melba; a brother, Bill Earll of Boise;
two grandmothers, Albena Cereda of Melba and Melva Young of
Sacramento, Calif.; and a nephew.
