Rosary Devotions
for Rudolph E. Bushard, 87, of 303 Chestnut St., Nampa, who
died Sunday at a Boise nursing home will be recited at 7 p.m.
Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Fr. Merle J.
Fisher, S.M. of St. Paul's Catholic Church as Celebrant Mass
of the Christian burial will be celebrated 2 p.m. Thursday at
the Alsip Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mt.
Calvary Cemetery with
Military Graveside Rites by the War Eagle Barracks, No. 459
Veterans of WWI.
He was born on June 4, 1883
at New Ulm, Minn., to Louis and Theresa Bushard. He was
reared and educated in
Minnesota. He later attended business college. He then
entered the U.S. Army and served during WWI. He married
Bernace Brenton April 20, 1921 at Wilton, N.D. He was in the
banking business for several years in North Dakota and Spokane,
Wash. He then became a
blacksmith and worked on the Grand Coulee Dam. They lived in
California and Nevada and in 1957 moved to Nampa where they
had since made their home. He was a member of St. Paul's
Catholic Church and Past Quartermaster of the War Eagle
Barracks, No. 459 Veterans of WWI.
He is sirvived by his wife of Nampa; two sisters, Mrs.
Rose Porter, Ojai, Calif., Mrs. Amelia Merritt, Mountain View,
Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Van Camp, Soquel,
Calif., Mrs. Kathryn Dunham, Ephrata, Wash.; a brother-in-law
Chester Brenton, Spokane, Wash.; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Bushard in 1958. |
