Graveside services for Mr. Robert Dean Daniel, 74, of
Palo Alto, CA, and formerly of Nampa, who went to be with the
Lord, Monday, August 15, 1994, at a Palo Alto hospital, will
be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 19, 1994, at the
Greenleaf, Idaho Cemetery. Pastor Mike Howard of the Nampa
Church of the Open Door will officiate. Services are under
the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Bob was born on July 31, 1920, in Lamar, Arkansas, to
Lee and Pearl Daniel. He was reared and educated in Nampa.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was
stationed in Alaska where he met his wife, Alice. They were
married on September 12, 1942.
He worked for the Stanford Research Institute in Alaska,
Hawaii, Australia, Thailand and Pago Pago.
He and Alice enjoyed traveling, including many countries
around the world. Bob was also a HAM radio operator and had
several friends in this area on the Farm Net. He was an avid
reader and spent many hours in the Stanford library. He loved
research and subsequently found Christ as his Savior and
Friend through searching the Bible.
He is survived by: his wife, Alice of Palo Alto, CA; a
daughter, Debra Weggerhof, and grandchildren Tisha and Daniel,
all of California; two sisters, Lola Marjorie Finley of
Caldwell and Kathleen Daniel of Nampa; two brothers, Ernest
Daniel of Reserve, NM, and William Daniel of Rhode Island.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Thursday
from 6 to 9 p.m. |
