Ray A. Danforth

      WILDER – Graveside services for Ray A. Danforth, 89, Wilder, who died Tuesday at a  Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Wilder Cemetery by Rev. Clare Willcuts of the friends Community Church, Homedale, under the direction of Homedale's Flahiff Funeral Chapel.
      He was born Aug. 24, 1886, at Osage, Iowa, where he was reared and educated.  He moved to Ratelje, Mont., as a young man, where he homesteaded.  He married Mary B. Norton on Aug. 29, 1916, at Columbus, Mont., and the couple made their home in Montana before later moving to Oregon, where he owned and operated an auto court on the coast.  In 1928, they moved to Parma, where he farmed; and then moved to Wilder in 1935.  Mrs. Danforth died in 1962.
      He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
      Surviving are one son, Bill Danforth, Homedale; one brother, Myron, Fisthtail, Mont.; two granddaughters; and four great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
