Memorial services for
Pearl Ila (Beeson) Birch, 78, of Caldwell, who died Wednesday,
October 11, 1995, at her home of natural causes will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, 1995, at the Caldwell
Friends Church, Caldwell, Idaho. Pastors Butch Hart and
Glenn Armstrong will officiate under the
direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel Caldwell. Private
burial will be held earlier at the Greenleaf Cemetery,
Greenleaf, Idaho.
Pearl Birch was born January 7, 1917, at Ponoka,
Alberta, Canada, a daughter of Roy and Lois Wilson Beeson.
She moved with her parents to Idaho in 1919 residing in the
Gooding, Barber, Riverside and Star areas. She attended
school in Barber, Riverside and Star, graduating from Star
High School in 1935. She married A. Glen Birch on
February 14, 1938 at the Star Friends Church. Following
the wedding, they moved to Mr. Shasta, California. In
1942 they moved to Caldwell where they resided until her
death.
Pearl was a Charter Member of the Caldwell Friends
Church where she held numerous positions and worked in the
Children's Department for 35 years.
She is survived by her husband Glen of Caldwell; two
daughters and sons-in-law Robert and Mike Stewart of Caldwell,
Judi and Steve Magee of Nampa; one daughter-in-law Patti Birch
of Greenleaf; grandchildren Rodney Birch of Arvada, Colorado,
Dewayne Birch of Greenleaf, Susan Banks and her husband Matt
of Potlatch, Idaho, Scott Stewart of Caldwell and Matthew
Magee of Nampa; one great-granddaughter Emily Banks of
Potlatch; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Ruth Beeson
of Nampa, Wes and Elaine Beeson of Twin Falls; three sisters
and two brothers-in-law, Evelyn and Ross McIntyre of Nampa,
Mary and Art Pruitt of Newberg, Oregon, and Hazel Tuning of
Caldwell; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son Bob, infant
brother and her parents.
The family suggests that memorials be given to the
Caldwell Friends Church or the Greenleaf Friends Academy.
