Orville Brown

Orville Riley Brown, 71, of Wilder, died Saturday, June 10, 1995, at a Caldwell hospital.  Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 1995, at the Wilder Cemetery.  Rev. Frank Prince of Wilder will officiate under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
     Mr. Brown was born March 15, 1924, at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, a son of Ace and Tennie Brown.  He was reared and educated in Arkansas and married Lois Brewer on December 10, 1954 at Marshall, Arkansas.  In 1959 the couple moved to Wilder where they have since resided.
     Orville worked most of his life as a farmer in the Wilder area.  He enjoyed Bluegrass and Western music and played the banjo.  In his younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family.
     Survivors include his wife, Lois, of Wilder; two sons, Riley Gene Brown, of Alabama and Frank Brown and his wife, Robby, of Star; a daughter, Diane and her husband, Raymond Hamilton, of Greenleaf; a sister, Mildred Staggs, of Wilder; 8 grandchildren; one great-grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents and six brothers and sisters.
