Word came today of the
death, in Santa Barbara, Cal., of Mrs. Ollie E. Fisk, long and
familiarly known as one of the pioneers of Boise valley and a
resident of both Parma and Caldwell.
Mrs. Fisk, widow of Albert G. Fisk, had resided at 920
Blaine street for 1927 until this past winter, when she
sojourned to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Seth Langdon, of
Santa Barbara.
Born June 7, 1869, at Saybrook, Ill., Mrs. Fisk was
married in 1891 and continued to live in Illinois until 1904,
when she and her husband moved to Parma. After the sale
of their ranch at Parma in 1927, they purchased property in
Caldwell, where Mrs. Fisk continued to live after the death of
her husband in 1938. Although she kept up her many
activities as long as possible, especially in the Baptist
church, of which she was a member, ill health this past winter
forced her to withdraw from them and seek a warmer climate.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. S. F. Greenfield
of Caldwell; Mrs. Seth C. Langdon of Santa Barbara, Cal.; and
a son, C. E. Fisk, of Stanfield, Ore. Grandchildren
surviving are; Albert Ledbetter, King City, Cal.; Wanda
Ledbetter, Seattle Wash.; Leona Langdon and Reed Langdon of
Santa Barbara, Cal.; Stanley Fisk and Adarene Fisk, of
Stanfield, Ore.
Graveside services will be held at the Parma cemetery
at 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, with the Rev. E. W. Stuchbery
of the Caldwell Baptist church officiating. Arrangements
will be in charge of Peckham's chapel. |
