Nolan Collins

     Nolan H. Collins, 94, of Nampa, died Tuesday, July 18, 1995, at the Caldwell hospital.  Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 21, 1995, at the Parma Cemetery.  Plais Johnson of Parma and Red Ankrom of Boise will officiate.  Services are under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     Mr. Collins was born June 5, 1901, at Willow Springs, Missouri, to Samuel and Belle Parker Collins.  He was raised and educated in Missouri and married Elsie Johnson June 5, 1921, at Willow Springs.  He farmed in Missouri and also worked as a mail carrier and worked in a saw mill that was owned by his father-in-law.  They came to Parma in 1939 where he farmed at Parma and also at Homedale.
     Surviving are his wife, Elsie, of Nampa, three daughters, Lillian Cooper of Fruitland, Vivian Young of Parma and Gladys Plager of Nampa; two sons, Don Collins of California and Kirby Collins of Nampa; a daughter-in-law, Ina Collins of Nampa; two sisters, Thelma McDaniel of Parma and Reca McMurtrey of West Plains, Missouri; 16 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
     He was preceded in death by a son, Loran Collins, his parents, 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
     Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 4 to 8 p.m. today.
     Memorial contributions may be made to the Parma Missionary Baptist Church or flowers may be sent.
