Services for M. Lavern Davis, 81, Homedale, who died
Tuesday, April 26, at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Friday at the Homedale LDS Church by Bishop Allen
Ethington. Interment will follow at the Wilder Cemetery under
the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
She was born Nov. 3, 1901, at Torrey, Utah, a daughter
of Jonathan and Maud Cameron. She moved with her family as a
child to Twin Falls and later to a Homestead in the Shoshone
Basin where she was reared and educated. She married Miles W.
Davis on Dec. 24, 1919, in Twin Falls and the couple engaged
in the sheep business at Hollister, Idaho, until 1937.
They then moved to Nyssa where they farmed until moving
to Wilder in 1941. Mr. Davis died in 1961 and she had resided
in Homedale since 1974. She was a member of the Homedale LDS
Church, the Homedale Senior Citizens and the Homedale Crochet
Club.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Davis, Bremerton,
Wash., and Eugene Davis of Homedale; a daughter, Mrs. Mervin
R. (Bernice) Bowman of Vale, Ore.; a brother, Bill Cameron of
Kimberly, Idaho; three sisters, Lena Hatch of Kimberly; Wilda
Hansen of Moses Lake, Wash.; and Jean Swan, Boise; 12
grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, several
step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Miles Kent Davis,
one brother, one sister, and three grandsons.
Friends may call at the Homedale LDS Church Friday from
1 to 1:45 p.m.
