Michael Bake

     Michael Jay Bake, 47, of Parma, died Tuesday, June 28, 1994, at the Nampa hospital due to complications of cancer.  Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 1994, at the Parma Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  Bishop Ron Atkinson will conduct the services with burial following at the Parma Cemetery, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     Michael was born September 10, 1946, at Elko, Nevada.  He attended schools at St. Cloud, Florida, Nyssa and Harper, Oregon, and graduated from Parma
High School in 1965.  Michael served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Chile, South America, from 1966 to 1968.  He worked at Watson's Produce in Parma for nine years prior to his illness.  He was very talented and had a love for languages and he spoke Spanish fluently.
     Survivors include his parents, Dean and Merle Bake of Parma, ID.; five brothers, Larry and Van of Parma, ID., Redge of Rexburg, ID., Mark of Springville, Utah, Mathew of Lewiston, ID.; three sisters, Rebecca Bates of Nyssa, OR., Mary Anne Fry of Ontario, OR., and Deanne Flake of Evanston, Wyoming; 68 nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by a brother, Jeffry.
