Corbin James

     A private burial was held on Saturday, August 17 at 10:00 a.m. at Canyon Hill Cemetery in Caldwell for Maurice Corbin James.  He was born in Payne County, Oklahoma, on March 30, 1911.  He lived in the Caldwell, Idaho, Moses Lake, WA, and the Portland areas before moving to Boardman, Oregon, in 1978.  He passed away August 14 after a long illness.  He was 85 years old.
     He is survived by his widow, Belva; son, Mike of Boardman, OR; son, Tom of Bellevue, WA; daughters, Billie Sue Stobel of Portland, OR, Betty Smith Wardrip of Santa Maria, CA; two stepchildren, Don Mortenson of San Francisco, CA, and Linda Mortenson Fanning of Bend, OR.  He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and one sister, Nellie Bingamon of Duncan, OK.
     He was preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie; six sisters; and two brothers, including Ralph James of Nampa.
