Mrs. Mary Helm

     Mrs. Mary C. Helm, 88, of Caldwell Route 6, died this morning at her home.
   She was born April 6, 1875, at Florissant, Colo. She moved with her family to Missouri when five years old. They lived there three years. She returned to Colorado with her family by covered wagon where they settled at Phippsburg, Colo., where her father homesteaded.
     She was married to Joseph H. Helm Sept. 18, 1895, and the couple homesteaded in Pleasant Valley near Steamboat Springs, Colo., where the couple lived until 1914.
   They came to Parma by covered wagon, and have lived in Idaho since that time, with the exception of two years spent in California. They had made their home on Caldwell Route 6 for the past 17 years. Mr. Helm died Jan. 29, 1962.
   She was a member of the First Methodist Church.
   Surviving are three sons, David, Caldwell, Glen, Potlatch, and Emery, Plummer; three daughters, Mrs. A. L. Blood, Mrs. Mary A. Lees and Olive H. Williams; all of Caldwell; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Hagler, Sarcoxie, Mo.; 26 grandchildren and 49 great-grandchildren. Three sons and a daughter preceded her in death.
     Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel. The Rev. Dr. Harold N. Nye will officiate. Interment will be in Parma.
