Margaret Buck

Funeral services for Margaret Ann Buck, 84, of Homedale, who died Wednesday, May 29, 1996, at her home, will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday, June 3, 1996, at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.  Reverend Royce Wright of the Treasure Valley Christian Center, Caldwell, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder, Idaho.
Mrs. Buck was born October 14, 1911, at Sacrament, California, a daughter of Edwin and Bessie Logan Erhardt.  She was reared and educated in Sacramento.  She married Lester M. Buck on October 3, 1936, at Sacramento.  Lester and Margaret moved to Caldwell in 1952.  In 1954, the couple moved to Homedale where they farmed.  In 1964 they moved to Oreana and managed the Triangle Ranch for seven years.  In 1971, they moved to Emmett and, in 1984, they returned to Homedale.
Margaret was an independent woman who supported all the needs of her family in her own quiet way.  She enjoyed traveling but her greatest joy in life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star # 83.
Survivors include three daughters, Mary Ellen and her husband Anthony “Sandy” Milne Jr. of North Highlands, California; Carole Ann Schlegel and Lesta and her husband Theodore Chadez, all of Homedale; a brother Logan Erhardt of San Lorenzo, California; a sister Lydia Thompson of Sacramento, California; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband Lester in March of 1995 and a son Lowell.
The family suggests that memorials be given to the Treasure Valley Christian Center, P.O. Box 1122, Caldwell, Idaho 83606 or the Benevolent Fund, c/o Order of Eastern Star # 83, Box 125, Homedale, Idaho 83628.  Friends may call Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale.
