Note: Doing a little research by looking at
the 1920 Idaho, Canyon County, Caldwell
census, it shows that her first husband may
have been a George A. Doolittle. The Idaho
Death Index shows a George A. Doolitttle that
died in Canyon County 9 July, 1926.

Caldwell Woman Passes Tuesday

Mrs. Lu
Reuhamas Schaffer, wife of Perry Schaffer of this city, died Tuesday
at a Caldwell nursing home. Funeral services will be held
Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Peckham chapel.
Interment will be in the Canyon Hill cemetery.
Mrs. Schaffer was born in Iowa, June 20, 1865.
She has made her home in or near Caldwell for the past 27 years.
She is survived by her husband; two sons, W. B. Doolittle of Nampa,
G. D. Doolittle of Eagle; a daughter, Mrs. Ella Hamstreet of
Portland; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and two
sisters.
