Services
for Lloyd Q. Dibble, 72, of Parma who died Wednesday, March 30
at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes will be conducted at
2 p.m. Monday April 4, at the Nazarene Church, Parma by Rev.
Milo Wittkopf of the Nazarene Church, Parma, Rev. Herbert
Lilly of Payette and Walt Hopper of Weiser. Interment will
follow at the Parma Cemetery, Parma under the direction of
Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.
He was born January l, 1911 at Kissimmee, Fla., the second
son of Jesse L. and Edna Dibble. At the age of four, he
returned to the family homestead at Alton, Kansas where he was
reared and attended grade school and high school. He attended
Bethany Nazarene College at Bethany, Oklahoma and then taught
rural schools in the Alton area.
He married Dorothy Sandy of Covert, Kansas on May 29,
1934. They moved to Hutchinson, Kansas where he attended
Bresee Nazarene Junior College and was graduated with an
Associate of Arts Degree.
In 1944 they bought a farm in the Apple Valley area, near
Parma, Idaho where he farmed until 1952. They moved to
Bethany, Oklahoma where he attended Bethany Nazarene College
receiving his Bachelors of Science Degree in Education.
They returned to Idaho in 1954 and he taught elementary
education at Roswell, Wilder, Idaho and Nyssa, Ore., both
regular classroom and special education. He did post graduate
work at Idaho State University at Pocatello and at Oregon
College of Education in Monmouth, Ore., during his years of
teaching.
He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Parma
serving as Sunday school superintendent for 30 years and
serving on the Church Board for many years. At the time of his
death he was teaching the Senior Adult Sunday School class.
He is survived by his wife of Parma; one son, C. Henry
(Hank) of Cambridge; two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Ann) Hopper
of Weiser and Sue Dibble of Parma; six grandchildren; one
brother, Ustel D. of Walkerton, Indiana; and three nieces.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the Building
Fund of the Parma Church of the Nazarene. |
