Rosary for Lupe P. Deleon, 53, of Nampa, who died Monday,
March 2, in a Boise hospital, will be recited at 8:45 p.m.
Wednesday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m.
Thursday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Nampa, by
the Rev. Mauricio Medina. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary
Cemetery, Nampa.
Mrs. Deleon was born Dec. 20, 1933, at Robstown, Texas, to
Luis and Benita Limones Palacios. She was reared and attended
schools in the Greenville, Miss., area. The family moved to
Lubbock, Texas, in 1951 and to Idaho in 1957.
She married Antonio Deleon July 16, 1958, in Caldwell, where
they made their home.
She had worked for the J.R. Simplot Co., Caldwell, for
several years.
Mr. Deleon died Sept. 5,1977. Later that year she moved
to Nampa, where she had since resided.
She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Antonio Deleon Jr. of Nampa and
David Deleon of Boise; three daughters, Simona (Mrs.
Alejandro) Garcia of Glendale, Ariz., Sarah (Mrs. James)
Hernandez of Nampa and Sylvia Deleon of Boise; two brothers,
Antonio Palacios of Caldwell and Jose Pineda of Nampa; five
sisters, Mary Loera, Elena Sanchez and Rosary Evaro, all of
Nampa, Estella Gonzales of Wilder, and Sulema Mejia of
Caldwell; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Friends may call at the Nampa Flahiff chapel today until 9
p.m. today, Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Thursday
until 10:30 a.m. |
