Larry Abbott
     Larry A. Abbott, 42, of Meridian, died Thursday, August 17, 1995, at a Boise hospital after an extensive battle with cancer.  Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 21, 1995, at the Roswell Cemetery, Roswell, Idaho.  Reverend Steve Evans of the Franklin Community Church will officiate.  Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.  After the service, all are invited to a dinner at the Roswell Presbyterian. Church.
        Larry was born March 1, 1953, at Caldwell, Idaho, the son of Norman and Katherine Corder Abbott.  The first few years of his life were spent in the Roswell Community near Parma.  He moved with his family in 1963 to Meridian, graduating in 1972 from Meridian High School.  Larry furthered his education at the University of Idaho, graduating in 1975 with a degree in agriculture.
     For the past 19 years, Larry was employed by Producers Supply Co-Op of Nampa.  At the time of his death, he was office manager at Producer's Supply East.
     Larry raised registered Hampshire swine for almost 30 years, developing one of the better purebred hers in the Northwest.  He was actively involved in the Idaho Pork Producers Association.  With his swine heard, he provided many 4-H and FFA project animals and was a supporter of the Canyon County Fair.
     Larry enjoyed being with people.  He found great enjoyment steelhead fishing and white water rafting with his friends and co-workers.  In May, he fulfilled one of his dreams by taking the Inland Passage Alaskan Cruise  He also enjoyed cooking and became a very good home chief (sic-chef).
     A special thanks to Producers Supply managers and co-workers for all their support during Larry' illness.  Thanks also to Dr. Carolyn Collins and her staff at St. Alphonsus hospital, for their care and sensitivity.
     Larry was loved and will be greatly missed by his parents Norman and Katherine, his sister and brother-in-law Dolores and Laverne Sager and the two nieces he loved so much, Loridee and Valerie Sager.  Other survivors include numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles and one aunt.
