Joe Azavedo Dies
At Nampa

     NAMPA  (Special) - Joe V. Azavedo, 77, died this morning at a local hospital following a stroke.  He was born in Portugal in 1862 and came to this country at the age of 12.  With three brothers he came to Jordan Valley in 1890 and ran a sheep camp until 1898 when he took over the Rock station between Jordan Valley and Caldwell.
     In 1920 he took a homestead at Sage Hen Gulch.  His home at the time of his death was in Nampa on Davis avenue.
     The body is at the Talley funeral home pending funeral arrangements.
