James L. “Bud “ Brown, 83, of Parma, passed away Saturday,
June 29, 1996, at a Caldwell care center. Graveside services
will be conducted at 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, 1996, at
Wilder
Cemetery. Rev. Eugene Haskins
of the Cascade Assembly of God Church will officiate.
Services are under direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell.
Bud was born Oct. 13, 1912, in Caldwell to James O. and
Effie Buffington Brown. He married Blanche Harshman Aug. 11,
1934, in Caldwell They raised their family and worked the
family dairy farm in Dixie area for the last 49 years.
Bud enjoyed fishing and was an avid dancer. He was also
a wonderful family man, and was always giving of himself. He
was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand.
He is survived by his wife, Blanche of Parma; two
daughters, Maxine Breshears and her husband Glen, and Louise
Rhoades, all of Caldwell; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dale
and Betty Brown of Salt Lake City, UT., and Jim and Lynnora
Brown of Nampa; a foster daughter, Barbara Kelso and her
husband George of Caldwell; three sisters and brothers-in-law,
Florence and Melvin Richards of Cambridge, Ruth and Raymond
Richards of Cambridge, and Lola and merle Kyger of Marsing; 13
grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and
nephews, and numerous close brothers and sisters-in-law and
their spouses.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two children,
and one sister.
The family wishes to thank all the people at the Boise
Elks Rehabilitation Hospital and at the Cascade Care Center
for the loving care given to Bud during his illness.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or flowers
