James Capps

      Services for James Owen ‘J.O.’ Capps, 20, 114 W. Baseline Road, Melba, who died Wednesday, March 7, in Melba, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa by Dr. Fred W. Knight of the Melba community Baptist Church, assisted by Hugh Swim.
     Pallbearers will be Scott Leavitt, Rex Leavitt, Bill Swim, Kent Van Schoiack, Glenn Suchy and Don Nichols.  Interment will follow at the Melba Cemetery in the Reineke family plot.

    
He was born Feb. 7, 1964 in Caldwell and resided in Bruneau until 1966 when he moved with his family to Melba.  He was educated in the Melba school system and was active in sports and school activities.  He graduated from Melba High School in 1982.
     He had worked for Amalgamated Sugar Co. in
Nampa and was employed by Don Nichols Construction Co.  He was a member of the Melba Volunteer Fire Department.
     He is survived by his mother, Luana Capps of Melba; two brothers, Ron Capps, Bakersfield, Calif., Marion ‘Butch’ Webster, Nampa; a sister, Michele Ring, Las Vegas, Nev.; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Reineke, Melba; one aunt, one uncle, and nieces, nephews and cousins.
     He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Capps, on Dec. 24, 1983; his grandmother, Janie Coffman on Aug. 24, 1983, an uncle, Chuck Reineke in 1978 and a cousin Roger Reineke in 1980.
     Memorials may be made to the Roger Reineke Scholarship Fund at Melba High School, to a favorite church or charity or flowers may be sent.
     Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa today from 1 until 9 p.m. and Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
