John Lentfer

     Services for John Henry Lentfer, 85, of Homedale were conducted at 2 p.m. today at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel.  C. L. Archer of the Jehovah Witness Church of Homedale officiated.  Interment was in Wilder cemetery.
     Mr. Lentfer was born March 1, 1873, in Fairmont, Neb., and was reared in Nebraska.  He married Alma Mohr, in Trenton, Neb., on Sept. 16, 1897.
     He resided in Nebraska until 1926 when they moved to Burr Oak, Kan., and in the fall of 1934 they came to Idaho and located at Homedale, where he farmed until 1945 when he retired and moved into Homedale.
     Survivors in addition to his wife, Mrs. Alma Lentfer, are two sons, Neal Lentfer of The Dalles, Ore., and Jack Lentfer of Homedale;  five daughters, Lily Lentfer and Mrs. Susie McConnel both of Homedale, Mrs. Lulu Bloyd, Parma;  Mrs. Marie Niles, Gresham, Ore., and Mrs. Ellis Petit, Murr Oak, Kan.;  a sister, Mrs. Tillie Bussman, Red Bluff, Calif.;  a brother Lewis Lentfer, in Minnesota;  27 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
