Isaiah Jacob Durnil, pioneer Idaho resident,
died at his home on Rt. 2, Parma, Saturday morning, January
21.
Durnil was born July 4, 1869 in Illinois, where he
spent his boyhood and later moved to Bichey, Mo., where he
grew to manhood. He came to Parma, Idaho when he was 21
years of age and homesteaded at Ten Davis in 1902, and was
living on this place at the time of his death.
He was married October 19, 1903 at Ten Davis to Miss
Emma Hertig, who survives. Two children, Mrs. Neva Alsup,
who lives in California, and Ivan C. Durnil of Ten Davis also
survive, as well as two sisters, Alice Pelican of Craig,
Colo., and Olive Yowell of St. Louis Mo., eight grandchildren
and three great greandchildren (sic).
Funeral services were held Tuesday at 2:30 p. .m at
Peckham-Dakan chapel in Caldwell with the Rev. H. H. Hayman
officiating. Burial was made in Tucker cemetery at Ten
Davis. |
