Persis Brumbaugh

Persis H. Brumbaugh of Roswell departed this Earthly life at Malheur Memorial Nursing Home in Nyssa, Oregon, on Friday, March 25, 1994, at Roswell Baptist Church with Rev. Virgil Saltz and Rev. Robert Obenchain officiating.  Internment will follow at the Roswell Cemetery, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.
Persis was born in Mitchell County, Kansas, to John and Cora Miller on July 5, 1898.  She was educated in a country school and graduated from Hill
City High School in 1919.  She was united in marriage to Loyal Brumbaugh on May 18, 1919.  To this union were born six children, 4 sons and 2 daughters.
She was a homemaker and the family was raised on farms in Graham County, Kansas.  In May 1948 they moved to
Roswell, Idaho, where they made their home.  Mrs. Brumbaugh resided at Grace Haven near Wilder for 3 ½ years before moving to Malheur Memorial Nursing Home in Nyssa.
She is survived by her children, Billy LoRee Pearson of Wakeeney, Kansas, Loyal Brumbaugh of Roswell, Idaho, Kent Brumbaugh of Logan, Kansas, Joan Blakeney of Soldotna, Alaska, and Gene Brumbaugh of Cascade, Idaho.  Other survivors include 25 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Loyal, on August 5, 1954; one son, Edwin, on March 26, 1993; one great-grandson, Christopher; one brother; and one sister.
The family suggests that memorials be made to Malheur Memorial Nursing Home, Grace Haven, or Roswell Baptist Church.
