       Woman Passes

    Mrs. Harriot Kirby Dies
Thursday; Funeral Services
         Set for Saturday

     Mrs. Harriot Kirby 88, passed away Thursday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred L. Evans of Caldwell.  Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Baptist church with the Rev. E. H. Gillit officiating.  The body will lie in state from 1 until 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.  The casket will not be opened during the funeral.  It is the wish of the family that no flowers be sent.  Interment will be in the Canyon Hill cemetery.
     Harriot Hackshaw was born October 24, 1843, in England.  She married Benjamin Kirby in 1863.  The Kirbys came to America in 1869 and settle in Nebraska.  Mr. Kirby died in Nebraska in 1884.  Mrs. Kirby came to Boise in 1909.  For the past 11 years she has made her home in Caldwell with her daughter, Mrs. Evans and family.
     Surviving are four of eight children, Mrs. Fred L. Evans of Caldwell; Mrs. C. C. Gowen of Chehalis, Wash.; the Rev Cromwall P. Kirby of Cadillac Mich.; and Frank J. Kirby of Cedro Wooley, Wash.; 11 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
