Services for Harold I. Choat, 66, of Caldwell, who died
Sunday, April 19, at home of natural causes, will be held at 2
p.m. Friday at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Pastor Jim Hardenbrook of the Caldwell First Christian
Church will officiate. Burial will follow at the
Middleton Cemetery.
Mr. Choat was born De. 20, 1920, at Laurel, Mont., to
Orren and Laura Choat. He graduated from Nyssa High
School and from Weiser Vocational School. He worked at
Boeing Aircraft at Seattle, Wash., until entering the U.S.
Navy in February 1944. He was injured in an explosion on
ship and was discharged in May 1946.
He worked at Hughes Aircraft in California for 17
years, retiring in May 1979. At that time he returned to
Idaho, where he had since resided.
He is survived by three brothers, his twin, Harry Choat
of Vancouver, Wash.,
Warren Choat of Boise and Howard Choat of Caldwell; and nine
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Carl, in
December 1986; and an infant sister.
Friends may call at the Caldwell Dakan chapel today
from 4 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
