Note - Obituary shows 1885 as Hazel's
birth
year, but the headstone shows 1895. That would
also confirm as 91 as stated in the article.

Services for Hazel Fern Corn, 91, of Austin, Texas, and
formerly of Nampa, who died Monday, Aug. 18, were held in
Austin. Burial will be in Middleton where her husband
was buried in 1976.
Mrs. Corn was born July 18, 1885, in Shibboleth, Kan.,
to John Grant and Beulah May Durham Kent. Her family
moved to Nampa in 1911. She made her home here until
1982 when she moved to Texas to live with a nephew.
She was a charter member of the Calvary Baptist Church,
Nampa, where she served many years as pianist and in other
capacities.
She is survived by four nieces; three nephews; and
numerous great-nieces and nephews. |
