Guy W. Tucker

    CALDWELL - Services for Guy W. Tucker, 75, Caldwell Route 2, who died Wednesday at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Greenleaf Friends Church by the Rev. Kenneth Pitts. Interment will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of the Dakan Funeral Chapel.
    Mr. Tucker was born Jan. 9, 1893, in Elwood, Neb. He grew up there and graduated from Elwood High School and then came to Greenleaf in 1911, where he graduated from the Greenleaf Academy. He helped construct the Lake Powell dam and was a ditch rider for the Wilder Irrigation District for more than 20 years. He was also employed by the Pioneer Irrigation District for a few years.
    He married Ruth Dimmett on Jan. 17, 1919, at Greenleaf and they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last year. He was a birthright member of the Friends Church and a present member of the Greenleaf Friends Church where he served as a trustee for several years. He was a charter member of the Greenleaf Riding Club and was active in its early alumni.
    He is survived by his wife, Ruth Tucker of Caldwell; a son, Lilburn Tucker of Meridian; a daughter, Hazel Ruth of San Francisco, Calif.; a sister, Dilla Winslow of Caldwell; and two grandchildren.
    He was proceeded in death by a daughter, Elaine, in infancy, and by his parents and two sisters.
