PARMA - Services for Miss
Gertrude V. Hicks, 83, Parma, who died Monday in a Caldwell
hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the Parma Dakan
Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Lawrence of the Nyssa Methodist
Church officiating. INterment will be in the Parma
Cemetery.
Miss Hicks was born Nov. 13, 1884 at Marshall, Minn.
She came to Idaho with her parents and sister in 1915 and
settled in the Apple Valley community where she lived until
a962 when she and her sister moved to Parma, where she had
since resided. She was a member of the Apple Valley
Church until it closed. She then became a member of the
Nyssa Methodist Church and was very active. She was also
a member of the Women's Society of Christian Service.
Surviviors include a sister, Elsie M. Robinson of
Parma, and many cousins, including Wesley Gee of Parma. |
