Gladys Corn

     Private services for Gladys M. Corn, 84, of Caldwell Route 3, who died Saturday, Aug. 2, in a Caldwell nursing home were conducted today at the Middleton Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Cooke of the Bible Baptist Church, Caldwell, officiating.  Services were under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     Mrs. Corn was born on Feb. 14, 1902, at Goodland, Kan.  She moved with her parents to Caldwell in 1903.
     She married Emery A. Corn on Jan. 8, 1921.  They lived in Middleton and later moved to Meridian.  They returned to the  Caldwell area and lived in the Marble Front community in 1931 where she has since resided.
     Mr. Corn died on Aug. 2, 1975.
     She was a member of the Caldwell Bible Baptist Church.
     She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sandra Corn of Caldwell; three daughters, Lucille (Mrs. Glenn) Lepel of Middleton, June (Mrs. Robert Burke) of Nampa, and Retta Jean Burton of Williamsburg, Va.; a brother, Cecil Vassar of Nampa; three sisters, Susie Bodle and Mable Bow of Nampa, and Nora Kingsbury of Middleton; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     She was preceded in death by four brothers, one sister and a son-in-law, Garland Burton of Williamsburg, Va., who died on July 2, 1986.
     Memorials may be made to Gideon International, The Child Evangelistic Fellowship of Idaho, 1720 N. Laurel, Boise, Idaho or to a memorial of your choice.
