George Aschenbrenner

     George J. Aschenbrenner, 81, of Nampa, died Monday, December 16, 1996, at a Nampa hospital.  Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, December 21, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, with the Rev. Father Alfred Puccinelli, S.M., presiding.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
     George was born August 18, 1915, at Idaho Falls, a son of Joseph and Mary Wenzel Aschenbrenner.  His family moved to Nampa in 1922.  He attended St. Paul's Elementary School and graduated from Nampa High School.  George spent his entire life farming in the Nampa area.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and also enjoyed playing pool with his friends.
     Survivors include four brothers, Albert of Upland, Calif., Rudy of Twin Falls, Tony of Portland, Oregon, and Leonard of Meridian; two sisters, Teresa and Marie, both of Nampa; and numerous nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, Rupert, Edward, Frank, Joseph, John and William.
     Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church building fund.
     Friends and family may call today until 9 p.m. at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
