Glen Herbert Kuhne
                                 
     Glen Herbert Kuhne, 77, of Caldwell, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 1995, at a Boise Hospital.
     Private family services will be held at the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell, Idaho.  Cremation is under the direction of Flahiff Crematory, Caldwell, Idaho.
     Mr. Kuhne was born Feb. 19, 1918, at Larned, Kan., a son of Fred and Hazel Kuhne.  He was raised in Hutchinson, Kan., and worked for Safeways until moving to Idaho in 1946.  Glen worked for the Nampa Sugar Factory for several years before moving to Alaska for three years.   Upon his return to Caldwell, he went to work for Safeways where he remained until he started his own business.  Glen married Ruth Blankenburg on April 4, 1961, at Winnemucca, Nev.  After his marriage to Ruth he owned and operated several other businesses.  He was a member of the Elks Lodge in Kansas and later the Caldwell Elks for many years.  Glen was best known for being a top-notch bartender in his cocktail lounges.  He always had a pleasant personality and a big smile on his face.  He was respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
     Survivors include his wife Ruth of Caldwell; his daughters Glenda and her husband Ken Wickham, Mary Jane and her husband Mike Ford, all of Boise; step-children Larry Lujack and his wife Jude of Chicago; Tom Blankenburg of Hayward, Calif.; Dixie Blankenbjurg of San Diego, Calif.; and Jack Blankenburg of Boise; grandchildren Perry Tollman and his wife Pati of Florida; Mike Wickham of Washington; Shaghay and her husband David Rosin of Washington; Shawn Luke and Andy Ford of Boise; stepgrandchildren Linda and her husband Brian Shirley of Boise; Tony Lujack of New York; Lesley Blankenburg and Danica Blankenburg of Boise; greatgrandchildren Kristyona, Kevin, Samantha, Austin L., Michael, Zane, and Austin T.; a sister Vivian and her husband Otto Kreie.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and a grandson.
     The family suggests that memorials be given to the Elks Rehabilitation Hospital or to Pet Haven.
