Graton E. Eason, 79, Homedale,
died Sunday, Feb. 27 in a Homedale nursing home. Services are
under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Homedale by the
Rev. Keith Yarter of the Golden Gate Baptist Church in Wilder.
Interment will follow at the Wilder
Cemetery.
He was born June 7, 1903
at Coldwater,
Mo., to Ben and Ida Thompson
Eason. He moved with his family to Colorado where he spent his
youth as a ranch buckaroo. He married Mary Florence Tibbett on
Jan. 2, 1932 at Delta, Colo. where they farmed until 1936.
They moved to Oregon and farmed at Nyssa and Adrian until
1944, when they moved to the Fargo Community near Wilder. They
farmed there until 1961, then moved to Boise and he operated a
pack string as an outfitter and guide at Grandjean for several
years.
He later worked for Sun Ray Dairy of Boise for five
years. He also did custom farm work until he retired. They
moved to Homedale in 1979 where they have since resided.
He is survived by his wife of Homedale; three sons, Grant
Eason of Nampa, Don Eason of Wilder, and Bob Eason of Boise;
two daughters, Earlene Dexter of Crescent Valley, Nev., and Jo
Ann Robertson of Winnemucca, Nev.; four brothers, Carl of
Silon Springs, Ark., Ralph of Rome, Ore., Floyd of Parma, and
Johnny of Caldwell; two sisters, Effie Lampshire of Delta,
Colo., and Agnes Hostetler of Nyssa, Ore.; 16 grandchildren,
19 great-grand-children, and numerous nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter,
Jeannie; two sisters and a brother.
Friends may call at the chapel today until 8 p.m. and
Wednesday from 9 a.m. until noon. |
