Fred Young

      Graveside services for Fred Young, 65, Parma, who died Wednesday, March 23, at the Boise Veterans Administration hospital of natural causes will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday at the Parma Cemetery, Parma, by Rev. Paul Yadon of the United Pentecostal Church, Parma, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.
     He was born May 28, 1917 at Pomona, Mo., where he was reared and educated.  He moved to Parma in 1936.  He entered into the Army Air Corps on Jan. 22, 1943 and served in the African Campaign until his discharge on March 15, 1946 at Ft. Douglas, Utah.  From 1947 through 1969 he operated a construction company in the Treasure Valley, leveling land.  He married Anna M. Smittle on July 17, 1961.  He returned in 1969 and resided in Parma until the time of his death.
     He is survived by his wife, Anna, Parma; his father, Arthur C. Young, Parma; one step-son, Jerry Payne, Prineville, Ore.; one step-daughter Carolyn Dyas, Prineville, Ore.; two brothers, Clyde Young, Parma and Earl Young, Caldwell; one sister, Helen Hooper, Parma; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
     He was preceded in death by his mother and two grandsons.
     The family suggests memorials to the Disabled American Veterans, Boise.

     Friends may call at the chapel in Parma today from 5 until 7 p.m.
