Frederick Ellsworth
Fisk, 81, prominent Parma businessman for the past 41 years,
died at his home early Sunday morning after a lingering
illness.
Born at Senoa, Ill., July 23, 1861, Mr. Fisk came to
Parma in 1901 and with E. M. Kirkpatrick and H. C. Baldridge
founded the Parma Mercantile Co. He was also in the
retail and wholesale meat business in Parma for many years as
vice-president of the early bank.
During the Baldridge administration he served as
manager of the state insurance fund for five years and retired
to manage his farm near Parma.
He was a member of the Parma Community church, a
charter member of Parma Lodge No. 49, A.F. & A.M., and Boise
Lodge No. 310, B.P.O.E. He was married to Miss Laura O.
Ewing in 1882. Mrs. Fisk died at her Parma home in 1928.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Neil C.
Baldridge and Mrs. Lois F. Anderson, both of Boise, and Mrs.
Bess E. Mitchell of Moscow; a son, Harold W. Fisk of Vale,
Ore.; a sister, Mrs. Clara Jean, who resided with Mr. Fisk in
Parma; a brother, Webb E. Fisk of Parma; eight grandchildren
and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Parma Community
church, Tuesday at 10:30 a. m. The Rev. Fred Hall,
assisted by the Rev. James Brown will officiate.
Interment will be in the Parma cemetery. The Peckham
funeral directors of Caldwell are in charge of arrangements. |
