Parma Dies At
Boise Today

 

     Evan Gustave Johnson, 69, well known Parma business man died at a Boise hospital early this morning following an extended illness.
     Born in Norway on January 29, 1873, Mr. Johnson came to the United States in 1892.  He resided at La Crosse, Wis., for sever years and also lived in Iowa before coming to Idaho more than 30 years ago.  In the Parma community, he has been actively engaged in farming, fruit raising, buying and shipping produce and other forms of business.
     He is a member of the Lutheran church, the Parma Masonic Lodge No. 49; the Parma Eastern Star Chapter; the El Korah temple at Boise and the Commandry at Weiser.
     Survivors include his widow, Ona D. Johnson of Parma; three sons, Sterling E. Johnson and Robert A. Johnson both of Parma;  Charles E. Johnson, stationed at Mare Island; two sisters in Norway and a brother, Gus Johnson of Belmond, Iowa.
     The body is at the Peckham chapel where funeral arrangements were incomplete this afternoon.
