Ethel Budell

     Ethel M. Budell, 76, of Nampa, died Monday, June 20, 1995, in a Nampa care center.  Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m. today, June 22, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa, by the Rev. Father Paul Mathews, S.M.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, June 23, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Alford Puccinelli, S.M.  Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
     Ethel was born March 17, 1919, at Lebanon, Oregon, the daughter of Joseph and Elise Patjiens Grant.  She was raised and attended school at Parma, graduating from Parma High School in 1937.  Ethel married Adolph R. Budell on Nov. 22, 1938, in Nampa.  Later they moved to Caldwell and farmed till 1946.  They moved back to Nampa where she had since resided and had been an active member of St. Paul's Catholic Church.  Mr. Budell died July 17, 1971.
     She is survived by her two sons, William J. Budell and Kenneth J. Budell, both of Nampa; six daughters, Catherine Hawkins of Caldwell, Betty Daly and Diane Irwin, both of Nampa, Nancy Lupton of Tannersville, Penn., Helen Munster of Nampa, Loretta Montgomery of Tucson, Ariz.; three brothers, Dick Grant of Morgan Hill, Calif., Harry Grant of Lomita, Calif., Gordon Grant of Portland, Ore.; three sisters, Evelyn Scholl of Twin Falls, Naomi "Rusty" Galles of Sequim, Wash., Vicky Banzin of Woodburn, Ore; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchidren and many nieces and nephews.
     Ethel was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister, one brother and a son.
