Emilio Calzacorta,
84, of Nampa, died May 10, 1992,
at his home. Vigil services will be celebrated at
7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at
Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Mass of Christian
Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's
Catholic Church, Nampa, by the Rev. Father Alfred Puccinelli,
S.M. Burial will follow at Mount
Calvary Cemetery,
Nampa.
Emilio was born October 28, 1907, at Boise, Idaho, a son
of Juan Jose Calzacorta and Lorenza Maria Gabica. He moved
with his family to Nampa where he grew up and attended
school. He then became an employee of the Union Pacific
Railroad where, at his retirement, he was a supervisor at the
ice plant. He served in the Army air Corps during world War
II. He married Grace M. Orr on
Sept. 10, 1949
at Winnemucca and they made their home in Nampa. Grace died
May 24, 1982.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, Nampa.
He is survived by one sister, Rose Grass of Nampa; a
niece, Susan Belyeu, and her children, Sherri McIlhargey and
Jennifer Belyeu; and a great-grandniece, Ashley McIlhargey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a
sister.
Friends may call until 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m.
until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
Emilio, you were always there on birthdays, weddings
and family gatherings. You gave us joy and laughter. We’re
sure that there was nothing you would not have done for us if
you could, and we, the same for you. Now, you are at peace
with your Gracie. We love you very much and we’ll miss you
dearly.
